It was awesome. Of course. So glad I got to go. Unexpectedly at the last minute; someone was ill and couldn't use their tickets.
I'm also a fan of Samantha Fish, so I appreciated the pairing. Lots of good music.
I'm a bigger fan of The Rainmakers, though, so I was very glad, when I got there, after it had started, to find out Samantha Fish was playing first, that it was her first set I was missing part of.
They traded sets. Two sets each. And then, during The Rainmakers 2nd set, it was decided (by the Knuckleheads folks) that Samantha Fish and her band would come back on and play some more.
It was The Rainmakers that were on stage at midnight. They invited Samantha Fish on stage, and then she played three songs with them, 2 cover songs followed by "Wages of Sin". And she did some stellar lead guitar on that song. Pretty cool.
Oh, and that's now two Rainmakers shows in a row that I've been to where they didn't do "Big Fat Blonde". And I'm totally okay with that. With the new stuff off "Monster Movie", they don't need it. Not that people won't still be wanting to hear it. (And they did play it at the 2nd Thanksgiving weekend show, which I wasn't at.)
